TECHNO-BROOCH WORKSHOP
#WEAREABLE 2016

The Weareable FashionTech Festival 2016 and its ephemeral fablabs allowed us, during one week, to learn new technics of creation, to use unbelievable machines to create, and to meet and share with talented people from different backgrounds. All this in a cozy and totally open space.

Conceived in partnership with the amazing “Atelier Draft” and the Réserve des Arts.

Parisian Designer specialized in knitting and crocheting; Ingrid Fey invited curious people to a crochet workshop, in order to create a wearable accessory (key holder or brooch) using traditional techniques and innovative materials.

The principle was simple: after choosing its material (between transparent Plexiglas, wood, metalized Plexiglas), the participant could use laser cutting to cut and engrave its own shape. Then comes knitting around the shape, with materials provided by the workshop: reflective fibers, wool, cotton, lurex… All in flashy and bright colors, in phase with the artist’s DNA.

Thanks for everything that have been shared !!

Enrolled in arts classes at 6, Ingrid Frey naturally followed class to become a knitting stylist. Student at LISAA (Superior Institute of Applied Arts in Paris), she pursued her training in machine knitting in the United Kingdom, before getting a diploma from l’Atelier Chardon Savard (Paris), in May 2011. Passionate by clothing, materials, colors and textures, she decided, after several experiences in fashion Houses, to start her business as a freelance.
